This delicious looking plate is called Sopes (So-pays). They are made with thick masa (dough), that is made out of the same ingredients for tortillas and tomales, topped with frijoles (re-fried beans), lechuga (lettuce), queso (cheese), salsa verde o roja (green or red salsa), and occasionally creama (sour cream). They can also be topped with meat depending on the restaurant and region. They are kinda like a Mexican version of a deep-dish mini pizza.
